The Conjuring, 2013
So what’s without the exorcism, the mysterious house, and the battle of the psychics? The Conjuring was brought to my attention by Vera Farmiga. Although she is an American actress of Ukrainian descent, the thriller and horror genres are her genres. Just look at the “Bates Motel” series, however, which was an updated version of the prequel to Hitchcock’s “Psycho”! The movie “The Spell” is supposedly based on two cases of paranormal investigators, Eddie and Lorraine Warren. In addition to them, the protagonists in this film are the Perron family, a husband, wife, and five daughters, who move into a new house where, you guessed it, strange things begin to happen. And the only hope this family has is for the Warrens’ ghost hunters. Whether it was all real or what the “hunters” were up to, we’ll never know, but the movie was pretty good.
The Shining, 1980
Stephen King is the master of creepiness and horror, and when his character is embodied by Jack Nicholson, it’s magic. However, an absolutely crazy look in Stanley Kubrick’s film, you can’t go to bed anymore. You won’t be able to after watching it. As in King’s other hit, “1408,” the action here takes place in a hotel. Where writer Jack Torrance (played by Nicholson) comes to get a temporary job. Therefore, despite warnings that the hotel’s former caretaker had gone off the rails and killed his family, Jack decides to stay here with his family—his wife and son. And here we go. Unexplained events and also communication with otherworldly hallucinations and whispered voices Therefore, the climax is one of the most famous movie scenes, the maze chase.
