The story is about a fourteen-year-old boy on Fmovies websites, Ellis, and Goatpaw, a forty-year-old weakling who lives next door to Ellis and his mother and does all the dirty work in exchange for food and a roof over his head for himself and his goats. In his spare time, the goat-herder dedicates his time to growing and consuming marijuana. Ellis is his only friend. With the Goat-herder, the boy is willing to share even the cold night treks across the desert in search of new pastures. The idyll ends when it’s time for Ellis to go to school on the other side of the country, at a school his absent father is paying for.

The plot of this film is uncomplicated and simple – we follow a boy growing up over the course of 10 years. The film attracted a lot of attention because of its unique idea of filming – the entire film was shot over a period of 12 years by the same cast. The characters have aged and matured with the actors, so their portrayal is as authentic as possible – there’s no aging make-up, no special effects, and no actors of a different age portraying the characters in their youth or old age. But there are three Golden Globes, including one for Best Picture.
